Report: Germany, France oppose toughening of Russia sanctions

MOSCOW, Nov 28 (PRIME) -- Germany and France have spoken against toughening of sanctions against Russia after an incident in the Kerch Strait, Welt reported on Wednesday, citing E.U. diplomatic sources.

Diplomats of the two states said at a secret meeting of the Political and Security Committee in Brussels that it is important to strengthen trust, and sanctions would go against the purpose.

Russia’s Federal Security Service intercepted three Ukrainian military ships in the Black Sea on Monday. The vessels crossed the Russian border, while entering the Kerch-Yeni-Kale channel out of schedule.
